Know our
Story

Welcome to Christian Missionary Fellowship International UK. Here, on this page, we invite you to walk alongside us through a journey. As you gently scroll through the timeline below, we hope you feel informed, touched, and inspired to be part of our unfolding story.

Our Founder

Zacharias Tanee Fomum (1945-2009), the visionary founding leader of Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI), embarked on his spiritual journey from Cameroon, impacting the world with over 40 years of dedicated Christian ministry. Born anew in faith in 1956 and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1970, he founded CMFI in 1975, fostering a global network of over 200 missionaries and thousands of churches across 65 nations. His relentless evangelism, church planting, and spiritual leadership training were marked by over 700 missionary journeys within Cameroon and 500 internationally, establishing over 1,300 churches and a mega-church in Yaoundé with 12,000 members. A prolific author, he wrote over 150 books and distributed millions of gospel tracts worldwide. Brother Zach, as he is affectionally called, was deeply committed to prayer and fasting, spending up to six hours daily in Daily Dynamic Encounters With God. He has over 10,000 recorded healing miracles and significant spiritual breakthroughs. His legacy, underpinned by a life of simplicity and significant personal sacrifice for the Gospel, inspires faith, prayer, and dedication to God's service.

Our
Story

Get to Know Us

In 1996, Pastor Philip Donald and Sister Ruth Donald were sent as International Missionaries to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Under their leadership, our first church was planted in London on Sunday, October 26th, 1996, and Christian Missionary Fellowship International was registered as a Christian charitable organisation on June 20th, 1997.

CMFI churches can be found in London, Kent, Bristol, East Sussex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, The Midlands, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Yorkshire, to name a few.

In November 2022, following the acquisition of Baxter Church, Kidderminster, the Midlands became our headquarters in the United Kingdom.

We carry out weekly church services, special events, and national events where all members of our various churches in the UK are invited to meet for prayer, praise, worship, and fellowship.
